Dirty Frank’s and Blackened Coffee Joining Ace of Cups

Plus, Crunchick to open soon at Bubbly Hall, and Pam’s Market Popcorn is closing.

Blackened Coffee will serve coffee and vegan breakfast dishes at Ace of Cups in Old North.

This week, Ace of Cups announced a new partnership with Dirty Frank’s Hot Dog Palace and Blackened Coffee Co. The two vendors will join the Old North music venue sometime this summer, supplementing the existing Ray Ray’s Hog Pit truck already on-site. The heavy metal-themed Blackened Coffee has operated as a pop-up at Ace of Cups previously and will serve coffee and vegan breakfast dishes. Dirty Frank’s will offer a streamlined menu of hot dogs and tater tots to both guests inside the venue and outside customers through a carryout window.

A location of DraftKing Sports & Social opens today at 840 N. High St. in the Short North. The sports bar and restaurant is known for its focus on sports betting. It takes the place of Melt Bar & Grilled, which closed in July 2022.

Bubbly Hall in New Albany will welcome its newest vendor, Crunchick, on Saturday, May 11. The stall serves Korean fried chicken in sandwiches and wings, plus sides like fries and fried cauliflower.

In a press release this week, Pam Tylka of Pam’s Market Popcorn and Windy City Eats in Gahanna announced that she will close the business on June 22. She cited the need to take a medical hiatus as the reason for closure. Pam’s started inside the North Market in 2005 before moving to a stand-alone Gahanna storefront in 2017.

Way Down Yonder New Orleans Finest Restaurant on the South Side launched a mobile food truck this week. The truck has begun popping up around the city, serving Way Down Yonder’s signature New Orleans fare.

Combustion Brewery in Clintonville hosts the Clintonville Lager Fest this week, May 10-12. The festival will include tappings of lagers, a flea market, charcuterie pop-up and more.
